Renewables Ireland have been involved in various projects, including NIHE housing developments, where Solar thermal has been installed in a total of 55 homes in Co Down and Co Antrim. The Solar thermal system uses a drainback technology, and provides each home with up to 60% of their domestic hot water requirements throughout the year.
In 2005, Renewables Ireland also announced it’s partnership with ACORN Homes, a Co Antrim based construction Company, who offer customers, the opportunity to install Geothermal, Solar Thermal or Wind Power into their new build homes. www.acornhomes.co.uk
